What is Collaborative Lesson Research (CLR)?

Collaborative Lesson Research is a powerful form of teacher professional development focused on the design of lessons for student learning. In CLR, a group of teachers research a topic and rigorously design a proposal for a lesson. Many educators are often invited to observe, and all join a post-lesson discussion immediately following the lesson.

Inspired in particular by the practice of mathematics teachers and educators in Japan, Collaborative Lesson Research is practised internationally, and is growing in the UK.
